Drugstore.com broadens its assortment with pets and wheelchairs
Drugstore.com began selling pet supplies when it noticed many customers used pet names as their account passwords. Now it is expanding its pets offerings even further through an agreement with PetCareRx. Drugstore also announced today an arrangement with 1-800-Wheelchair.com to offer home health care products.
Shoppers at Drugstore.com will be able to link quickly to the two other web sites.
PetCareRx.com provides pet medications and other pet care products at discount prices. It has its own licensed pharmacists. It also operates an Ask the Vet service.
1-800-Wheelchair.com provides a range of home healthcare products, including wheelchairs, lift chairs, scooters, walkers, daily living aids, bedroom products and diabetic supplies. It coordinates services with the patient, medical practitioner, and insurance company.
