CoolSavings Names Kingery, Leech to Key Executive Positions

CHICAGO, Nov. 20, 2002- CoolSavings, Inc. (OTCBB: CSAV), a leading online direct marketing and media company, has announced the appointments of Charles M. Kingery as Senior Vice President of Sales, and Peter J. Leech as Vice President of Retail Partnerships.

As Senior Vice President of Sales, Kingery will lead the Company`s sales direction and more than 25 sales associates to help clients and partners identify and execute the most effective direct marketing campaigns to achieve their sales and marketing objectives. Bringing 25 years of sales and marketing management experience, Kingery most recently served as Executive Vice President and General manager of Client Sales and Customer Marketing for Information Resources Inc. (IRI), managing a $100 million business with a staff of 200. Prior to IRI, Kingery spent twenty years with Kraft/General Foods in various sales and marketing management roles. He is a graduate of Kenyon College.

As Vice President of Retail Partnerships, Leech will design on- and offline marketing programs to help grocery retailers drive sales and offer targeted co-promotions for their CPG manufacturer suppliers. As founder of his own company, The Equilum Group, a loyalty marketing services provider and consultancy, Leech helped leading retailers and manufacturers institute frequent shopper card marketing and customer relationships management initiatives. Prior to Equilum, Leech was a partner with The Partnering Group (TPG), a leading CPG/Retail management consultancy focused on category management and collaborative marketing process, analytics and program facilitation. Leech has also worked as a consultant to several global retailers on data -driven merchandising and marketing initiatives, including Ahold USA, Safeway, Sainsbury`s Supermarkets UK, Winn-Dixie Stores, ICA Supermarkets - Sweden, REWE Supermarkets - Germany, and Carrefour Hypermarkets - Spain. Leech began his career at Procter & Gamble in various sales management positions.
