New Plug-ins for SalesCart PRO Shopping Cart Software for Dreamweaver Add Order Management, Dynamic Cataloging & Credit Card Processing

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December, 2 2002) ComCity® Corporation today announced
three new plug-ins that add back-end order management, dynamic cataloging
and real- time transaction processing capabilities to the Macromedia
Dreamweaver version of SalesCart PRO, ComCity’s “bolt-on” e-commerce
shopping cart system. The optional modules and the SalesCart PRO
application give Dreamweaver developers the ability to quickly create
shopping carts capable of managing hundreds or thousands of products or
orders with ready-to-use templates, wizards and an online help system that
is integrated into the design tool. Carts can be completely customized
with scripting.
The new modules include:
· Order Management Plug-in, a comprehensive browser-based system for
order fulfillment tracking by customers, sales and product reporting, and
other back-end operations. E-merchants can customize every step of the
fulfillment process, including billing, packing, shipping, and shipment
tracking. Built-in integration with QuickBooks allows end users to quickly
and easily export customer information and sales data from their online
store into QuickBooks accounting software. Data can also be exported to
ACT!, Peachtree and other accounting applications via ASCII.
· Product Management Plug-in, an easy-to-use interface for dynamic
product cataloging. This module can be used to create and maintain a
product database, manage product inventory, display products from database
search queries, and provide template query results pages. Product display
and product queries are 100% customizable through Dreamweaver Server
Behavior Builder. A “Dynamic Include” feature permits easy control of
product attributes from the database, including price changes. SalesCart
can also run statically, without a product database, for small applications.
· Transaction Processing Plug-in, enabling shopping carts created
with SalesCart PRO to automatically accept, authenticate and process credit
cards in real time. Once the merchant account is established through one
of the supported processing gateways, configuration takes less than 10
minutes. The plug-in supports VeriSign PayFlow PRO, LinkPoint, Card
Service International, Bank of America and other major credit card gateway
services. AuthorizeNet is included with SalesCart PRO at no additional charge.
SalesCart PRO for Dreamweaver offers Macromedia developers a scalable,
open-systems architecture to quickly and easily create both static and
dynamic catalog-based shopping carts that seamlessly integrate with Web
sites built with Dreamweaver, Ultra Dev or Dreamweaver MX. This eliminates
the need for developers to build their own carts from scratch or use
stand-alone shopping cart solutions that lack the customizability to fit
with existing site designs.
