Retek names Accenture`s Leestma president and CEO
Retek Inc., a provider of web-based retail operations management systems, named as its president and CEO Marty Leestma, a veteran retail consultant and former executive of consultants Accenture.
Leestma, 44, former global managing partner for retail and consumer goods industries at Accenture, succeeds Steve Ladwig, who resigned to pursue other opportunities, Retek said.
While at Accenture, Leestma did consulting work for Retek and played a key role in helping the company grow, said John Buchanan, chairman of Retek. "As the founding Accenture partner associated with Retek`s establishment, Marty was instrumental in driving our first generation client server product as well as retail industry best practices into our solution offering," Buchanan said.
