Lands’ End has named Ed Whitehead, a former marketing executive with Galyans, Nike and Polo/Ralph Lauren, as executive vice president and chief marketing officer, the apparel retailer said today. He will report to Lands’ End president and CEO Mindy Meads.
At Galyans, Whitehead served as senior vice president of marketing. Earlier, he founded and served as chief operating officer of Workshop, a company specializing in branding, marketing and creative strategies. Whitehead also has held senior marketing positions at Harrods, Mossimo Inc. and CK Calvin Klein.
Lands’ End, a unit of Sears, Roebuck and Co. and No. 17 in Internet Retailer’s Top 300 Guide to online retailers, sells direct to consumers through LandsEnd.com and catalogs. Its apparel is also sold through Sears stores.
