TROY, MI., December 11, 2002 The holidays just got a whole lot brighter, thanks to Kmart and the famous JOE BOXER guy. Kmart Corporation today launched the first interactive holiday greeting card featuring Vaughn Lowery, the high-energy dancer famous for his role in the companys JOE BOXER advertising campaign. The free, email-able greeting card is available online at www.kmartboxers.com or through www.kmart.com
Visitors to Kmarts JOE BOXER holiday site can customize Vaughns famous Santa-style boxers on a video greeting card they can email to friends and family. The fun starts with selecting the color, then incorporating yuletide flair by adding candy canes, ribbons, holly, snowflakes or tree decorations. Finally, personalized sayings can capture the senders true feelings, including Yo, Ho, Ho, Naughty!, or Unwrap Me. Once finished customizing, users add the recipients email address, press send and the card is on the way.
Cards arrive as hyperlinked Internet addresses that take the recipient directly to the Web to view their greetings. The Kmart JOE BOXER holiday greeting cards are PC or MAC compatible and require only an Internet connection and Web browser to view.
