Advant-e Surpasses $3 Billion Worth of Purchase Orders Processed via GroceryEC.com

Accelerated Adoption Rate - Over $2 Billion Processed in 2002
DAYTON, Ohio, Dec. 12 -- Advant-e Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: AVEEE - News) announced today that it has surpassed $3 Billion worth of purchase orders processed through its www.GroceryEC.com supply chain solution since January 1, 2000.

GroceryEC.com is a web-based supply chain solution that allows small and medium size suppliers in the grocery industry to support the Electronic Commerce initiatives of their retail customers. The system is also utilized by large, brand name suppliers to augment their current in-house capabilities for supporting industry specific electronic commerce documents.

Commenting on this milestone, Jason K. Wadzinski, President and CEO of Advant-e stated: "GroceryEC.com continues to be the leading solution for small and medium size suppliers in the grocery industry to process electronic documents with retailers. Of the three billion worth of purchase orders processed since January 1, 2000, over two billion occurred in 2002, highlighting the increased adoption rate of GroceryEC.com in the supplier community. We are very proud of this accomplishment and look forward to increasing the use and enhancing the value of our technology platform in the grocery industry."

The increase in electronic transactions processed via GroceryEC.com is due to the addition of new subscribers to the system and increased volume from existing subscribers. Existing subscribers benefit from GroceryEC.com`s ability to support the electronic commerce initiatives of over 100 retailers.

"Our customers continue to reap the benefits of the large network of retailers and suppliers we support on GroceryEC.com. The value proposition for both sides of the buy-sell relationship is very high," continued Mr. Wadzinski. "The Internet and web-based technologies are an optimal solution to reduce the cost of supply chain electronic commerce. From the retailers standpoint, we extend the value of their existing electronic commerce capabilities by electronically connecting potentially thousands of small and medium size suppliers to them using GroceryEC.com."

Many retailers in the grocery industry have invested heavily in their ability to do EDI and Electronic Commerce with their larger suppliers. GroceryEC.com allows these retailers to maximize their existing investment by allowing them to connect electronically with their small and medium size suppliers.
