Online retail sales rise 12% for week ended July 25, comScore reports
Online retail sales rose 12% year-over-year, to $1.06 billion from $944 million for the week ended July 25, comScore Networks Inc. reports.
Online retail sales growth barely outpaced total retail sales, which grew 11.5% year-to-year for the week ended July 24, according to ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate. A week earlier, the growth rate of total sales edged higher than the growth rate of online retail sales, 10.6% to 10%.
Online travel sales for the week ended July 25 rose 18% year-to-year, to $1.1 billion from $930 million, comScore says.
