Retail.Net to Support Enterprise Retail Operations
Salt Lake City; January 13, 2003 - Tomax Corporation is pleased to announce that it has signed agreements with Kelly-Moore Paint Company, Inc. for the deployment of Retail.net applications throughout their chain of company owned and operated retail locations. With 160 locations, Kelly-Moore is recognized as one of the premier manufacturers and retailers of paint and related products.

Kelly-Moore shares unique requirements associated with the paint retailing industry, including sophisticated interaction with commercial and retail customers to create specific orders with unique delivery requirements, terms, conditions, and advanced pricing rules and methods. In addition, these complex processes need to be fast and easy for Kelly-Moore associates to use.
"Our technology allows us to construct solutions to support very unique order characteristics, as is the case with Kelly-Moore and others in the industry," remarked Virgil Fernandez, Chief Technology Officer of Tomax. "Our Customer Management product enables retailers to define custom capabilities which would ordinarily be beyond the realm of packaged software solutions."
These requirements are consistent with a growing trend in retail to contemplate what happens with the customer prior to the point-of-sale. Traditional POS systems handle the transaction after the customer has decided to buy. Prior to the point-of-sale, there are issues of product selection, pricing, colors, options, accessories, warranties, return privileges and a myriad of other aspects crucial to sales process. The Tomax Retail.net solution can support the sales process through in-store kiosks, PDA equipped sales representatives, and processes to create bids, quotations and special configurations - all in support of the sales process.
