QRS Builds on Retail Transaction Expertise with Added Intelligence and Visibility to Speed Supply Chain Responsiveness

RICHMOND, Calif. – January 13, 2003 — QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI), a leading provider of collaborative commerce solutions to the retail industry, today announced the launch of QRS Insight™, which automates business process monitoring and problem resolution. QRS Insight monitors enterprise systems and databases, detects problems, alerts the appropriate users, enables collaborative resolution, and escalates issues as necessary. The solution also provides reporting and analysis based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

QRS Insight works with most major enterprise applications and databases available today, including the QRS solutions suite. By adding significant value to installed systems in as little as 30 days, QRS Insight allows customers to immediately increase the effectiveness of their current software infrastructure.

With QRS Insight, retailers and suppliers use real-time monitoring agents to track critical operational and transaction issues that can be triggered by specified conditions – such as orders that are at risk of shipping late, invoices that don`t match purchase orders, or inventory that is below or above planned levels. If the system detects a problem, it immediately alerts the appropriate users via email, pager, or wireless device.

Users can then access a web-based tracking and collaboration tool to resolve the exception. If the problem is not resolved, the system automatically triggers escalations and provides collaboration and escalation histories. QRS Insight also offers performance management and reporting to measure performance across the supply chain through KPIs. "With this exciting new addition to our product suite, QRS is further enabling companies to better manage their supply chain," said Liz Fetter, president and CEO of QRS. "QRS Insight lets companies get the most out of their existing infrastructure by minimizing blind spots, shrinking response times, and improving performance through faster, better decision-making."

QRS Insight is available now. For more information, please contact sales@qrs.com or call 1-800-872-8255.
