AMERICARD SERVICES ENHANCES AUTHENTICATION SERVICES VIA ACI SECURE COMMERCE SOFTWARE

AmeriCard taps ACI’s server solution to offer its customers Verified by Visa authentication services.

(OMAHA, Neb. — August 20, 2003) — ACI Worldwide (Nasdaq: TSAI), a leading international provider of enterprise e-payment solutions, today announced that AmeriCard Services, Inc. now offers Verified by Visa authentication services supported by ACI’s software. Through ACI’s issuer authentication software, AmeriCard issuer clients will conduct business using the added safety and reassurance of Visa’s secure authentication and enrollment services.

Verified by Visa allows a consumer to add a personal password to their Visa card and use that password for authentication when making purchases at participating online stores. The service guarantees merchant payment and allows merchants to eliminate the cost of online fraud.

“With Internet commerce on the rise, we wanted to provide a solution enabling card issuers to promote Verified by Visa secure shopping with their cardholders,” said Nancy Linxwiler, Director of Business Research at AmeriCard Services. “ACI’s solution allows us to offer secure enrollment and authentication services. It is a great addition to our risk management services.”

ACI’s secure authentication service is designed to promote consumer confidence in shopping on the Internet through increased security of their confidential card and password information. Through the exchange of consumer created text messages, consumers will be assured they are interacting with their financial institution by the exchange of confidential data they shared with their financial institution.

“With ACI’s secure authentication solution, processors like AmeriCard not only have a solution that supports Internet access, they also have a framework to support a wide array of multi-channel consumer access points including mobile devices such as PDAs,” said Mark Vipond, president of ACI Worldwide. “ACI is a long-time Visa payments partner and the products in our secure commerce suite provide issuers with an integrated payment platform to meet the unique challenges of conducting commerce over public networks.”

AmeriCard Services, Inc. is new to the ACI customer family. AmeriCard is a privately owned corporation that provides pass-through card processing services to financial institutions that issue Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards.
