E-Mail provider E-centives gets a new CEO
E-centives, an e-mail and direct marketing services provider to Internet retailers and other vertical markets, has a new chief executive officer. E-centives named co-founder Dadi Akhavan to be its new chairman and CEO in July, replacing another co-founder, Kamran Amjadi, who stepped aside after eight years as the company’s top executive.
"E-centives is in need of new leadership that can take it to the next level," Amjadi says. "Dadi has the market and company knowledge necessary to continue E-centives` growth to profitability."
Founded in 1996, E-centives offers a suite of interactive marketing technologies, including e-mail marketing, online promotions and data warehousing to multi-channel retailers and other vertical markets. The company’s core e-mail marketing application, Interactive Database Marketing System, helps retailers create online coupon programs, advanced e-mail advertising campaigns or surveys, and multi-faceted reports.
A chief priority of Akhavan will be growing E-centives` e-mail marketing base. In 2003, revenue from the company’s e-mail marketing business only accounted for about 3% of total sales, which amounted to $6.1 million, compared to $7.2 million in 2002.
