New Cost-Effective and Timely Service Enables Businesses to Receive Customer Internet Orders Via Fax

The user-friendly service allows businesses such as restaurants and grocery stores to quickly receive and fill time-sensitive orders, which are placed by customers on their Web sites and transmitted directly and seamlessly to pre-defined fax machines for immediate fulfillment.

eFaxOrder works like most ecommerce transactions on the Web except the transaction is processed in the form of a fax rather than an email. For instance, customers can browse the Web site of their favorite deli, choose the daily special and other selections, customize the order according to personal preference and then submit the order with instructions for pick up or delivery. The purchase is then automatically transmitted to the business fax machine via standard, secure Web technology.

"It is an incredibly accurate, cost-effective and timely service," explains Tom Dombrowski, owner of the Winward Deli located on 254 Maple Avenue in Red Bank, New Jersey. "We began using eFaxOrder in early July and by the end of month received 85 orders from nearly 50 different customers. Plus, this was achieved without marketing. For an initial fee of $299.99, The Virtual IT Department will design the customer’s Web site and insert specific company information including menus and catalogues. The look and feel of the Web site is chosen by the customer from several generic templates designed by The Virtual IT Department.

Beyond the initial fee, The Virtual IT Department offers Web hosting solutions to clients in three packages. Continued hosting of the Web site without online ordering functionality is $19.95 per month. For a monthly fee of $29.95, Virtual IT customers receive continued hosting of a site fully enabled with eFaxOrder. The third package provides continued hosting services, eFaxOrder capabilities and an individual domain name from which customers can visit and order from directly. In contrast, the first two packages do not include Web addresses and require customers to enter www.efaxroderorder.com to visit the Web site of choice. In addition, other Web hosting services such as custom Web site development and daily or weekly updates are available from The Virtual IT Department for a nominal fee.
