Portland, Ore. - January 28, 2003 - Unicru, Inc. achieved record revenues of $21.1 million and earnings of $0.3 million for 2003, the company announced today. During 2002 the company was recognized as one of the 500 fastest growing and most successful companies in the United States by both Inc. Magazine and Deloitte & Touche.
Contracted backlog increased in 2002 by 129 percent from 2001 as the company signed major multiyear contracts with 23 leading companies in the Retail, Grocery, Call Center, Hospitality and Transportation industries including Albertsons, Blockbuster, Finish Line, Garden Ridge, Hollywood Entertainment, Kmart, Kroger, Marriott Hotels, Rock-Bottom Restaurants, Stream International, Southeastern Freight Lines, Supervalu, and The Fresh Market. Unicru added $1.9 million in cash from operations during 2002, resulting in a strong balance sheet with $9.5 million in cash and no debt.

established to provide leading edge science and analytic consulting services to Unicru customers.
· Published research disclosed a 41 percent increase in median
employee tenure for hourly workers hired via Unicru versus traditional paper-based hiring processes.
· Unicru entered into alliances with leading HR providers such as
Hogan Assessments, ProBusiness Services, Radiant Systems, The Newman Group, and Snag A Job.
· Unicru entered into partnerships or integrated its service with 12
providers of HRMS, background check, tax, unemployment claims and payroll services including Ceridian, ITax, Lawson, Oracle, and PeopleSoft.
· 5.6 million job applicants were evaluated by Unicru assessments
tailored to select the most productive workers for each of its customers.
