800.com appoints a chief information officer
Portland, OR-based 800.com Inc., an online retailer of electronics, movies and music, has named Holly Files to the newly created position of chief information officer. Files will oversee all of 800.com`s information services, including technology systems for the company`s web site, customer services and internal operations.
Files has 23 years of experience in emerging technologies, most recently as vice president worldwide service at Net IQ/Webtrends. She has also held executive-level positions at Radiant Systems/RapidFire Systems, Sequent and Clientele Software.

800.com had annual revenue in its most recent fiscal year of $48.3 million, a 41% increase over the previous year.
