800.com launches a PDA/handheld store

Portland, OR-based online electronics retailer 800.com is adding a PDA/Handheld store. The web store is authorized to sell a full line of PDAs for Sony, Hewlett-Packard, Palm and Casio, the company says. 800.com incorporating a new feature it calls the Accessory Matcher, which helps customers find compatible add-ons, such as cradles, cases and keyboards for their PDAs.

To promote the PDA store luanch, 800.com is offering free shipping on all PDAs from Sept. 26 through Oct. 10.
