Student Advantage acquires CarePackages.com

Boston-based Student Advantage Inc. has acquired CarePackages.com LLC, a student gift-package seller. Founded in 1998, CarePackages.com, headquartered in Fairfield, CT, has relationships with more than 25 colleges and universities as well as with Internet sites, including FTD.com and Yahoo Greetings. The company supplies gift packages for college students.

Three months ago, Student Advantage acquired Bethesda, MD-based OCM, a university-endorsed direct marketing firm with relationships with more than 900 colleges and universities, student organizations and alumni associations. In addition to care packages, OCM programs supply students with residence hall linens and related accessories, as well as diploma frames.
