Saks Incorporated Chooses QRS Sourcing(tm) for Private Label Management
Richmond, CA - September 17, 2003 - QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI) announced today that Saks Incorporated, one of the leading US retailers, has selected QRS Sourcing(tm) to improve its processes for importing private label merchandise.
A long-time customer for QRS Exchange(tm) and QRS Catalogue(tm), Saks has expanded its relationship with QRS to include QRS Sourcing for enhanced visibility, vendor collaboration and process management in its private label program.
Saks had several interdependent objectives including controlling expenses by shifting from a guaranteed landed cost to a first-cost structure; reducing design-to-delivery cycle times; and providing seamless visibility and integrated workflow across its divisions.
To meet these objectives, Saks sought a solution that could be implemented across its entire global supply chain.
