Moneris Solutions U.S. Group Announces Agreement With DXStorm To Deliver Multi-Currency Payment Solution
Relationship Enables Online Merchants to Process Credit Card
Transactions in Multiple Currencies
CHICAGO, IL, September 29, 2003 – Moneris Solutions, one of North America`s largest electronic transaction processors, today announced an agreement with DXStorm.com Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange: DXX), to enable merchants to accept credit cards for online or mobile commerce in multiple currencies.
The DXStorm/Moneris collaboration already enables merchants to process both U.S. and Canadian currencies, with plans to expand to 180 currencies. This multi-currency processing system will enable businesses to offer products and services in approximately 180 different currencies and to receive payment for them from the range of 16 settlement currencies.
A multi-currency merchant account is particularly beneficial for businesses located outside of the United States or for those whose sales originate from shoppers outside of the U.S. A merchant account enables online business to payment-enable their websites and begin accepting all major credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, AMEX®, Discover®, Diners®, or JCB®.
