Ritz Interactive Inc. is giving a pair of its core web sites, RitzCamera.com and BoatersWorld.com, a facelift. The two e-commerce sites were recently re-launched on a WebSphere e-commerce platform from IBM and feature enhanced graphics and search tools.
The redesigned sites now have drop-down menus organized by product category that enable shoppers to search more quickly and easily for merchandise. Interactive tools such as product selection guides and comparison grids also have also been added to facilitate faster product search.
“Taking into consideration valuable feedback from our customers, we have managed to introduce a variety of new and exciting elements, while retaining the original features that have helped make our sites such popular online shopping destinations,” says CEO Fred Lerner.
Ritz, No. 102 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, increased its Q1 web sales by 15.7% to $20.1 million from $17.3 million in the first quarter of 2005. In May, Ritz, which operates several photographic, consumer electronics, marine, boating and fishing products e-commerce web sites, withdrew plans for an initial public offering.
