MP3.com gets a new president
MP3.com, a leading online provider of music, has named Derrick R. Oien president. Oien had been the company`s chief operating officer. He will manage day-to-day operations and focus on company profitability
while continuing to report to MP3.com`s chairman and chief executive
officer, Robin Richards, the company announced today.
Oien joined MP3.com in July 1999 and has served as vice president of
operations and as chief operating officer. MP3.com hosts more than 170,000 artists and 1 million songs.
