TeamFanShop signs three more sports team e-commerce deals

TeamFanShop, which provides e-commerce services to sports teams, has signed agreements with the University of Florida, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Minnesota Timberwolves to develop and operate their official online stores.

Under the terms of the agreements, TeamFanShop, a division of online retailer Football Fanatics, No. 354 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, will be responsible for all facets of operation including web site development, merchandising, customer service, order processing, and product fulfillment. Terms were not disclosed.

“One of the reasons we selected TeamFanShop is because they’re completely dedicated to team and league licensed merchandise and have spent the better part of a decade using A/B testing and other techniques to see which store designs and merchandising strategies will deliver the best results,” said a spokesman for the Minnesota Timberwolves. “We’re benefiting from the collective experiences of other TeamFanShop partners.”

TeamFanShop provides private label e-commerce outsourcing for Division I colleges and professional sports teams, including the Florida Gators, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, The Southeastern Conference and The Big Ten.
