May’s online sales grow 21% over last May, comScore reports

Online retail sales in May reached $7.45 billion, up 21% from $6.14 billion in May last year, comScore Networks Inc. reports. By comparison, ShopperTrak RCT Corp.`s National Retail Sales Estimate reports that total U.S. retail sales in May increased 7.8% over May 2005.

Online travel sales in May were up 15% over May a year ago, reaching $6 billion from $5.2 billion, comScore reports.

April’s online retail sales were up 23% over April a year earlier, reaching $7.4 billion from $6 billion, comScore reports.
