J. Jill’s web sales continue to grow
Women’s apparel retailer The J. Jill Group Inc. reported that sales at jjill.com grew 48% to $11.7 million from $7.9 million in the third quarter. Total sales grew 13.8% to $65.8 million from $57.9 million. Internet sales now account for 18% of J. Jill’s sales from 13.6% a year ago.
Catalog sales in Q3 this year totaled $36.2 million, down from $43 million a year ago. The decrease was the result of a 10% reduction in catalog circulation. J. Jill now operates 387 stores and expects to have 51 open by the end of November.
