AtomicPark.com takes off the gloves and plays hard
After selling software and video games online for eight years, AtomicPark.com has expanded the scope of its merchandise to include hardware. The first wave of hardware products includes internal and external hard drives, middle to high-end video cards, and computer memory. The e-retailer will be adding numerous hardware products to its new line-up throughout the summer.
The decision to move into hardware was based on many factors, customer demand being the most important, the company says. “AtomicPark.com’s mission is to become a ‘one-stop tech shop’ for its customers, so hardware is just the next natural step toward accomplishing our goal,” says Anthony Boldin, CEO.
The company, No. 207 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites , has access to more than $3 billion in inventory and six warehouses nationwide. It grew sales 62% in 2005 to $29.4 million compared with $18.1 million in 2004.
