GiftCertificates.com Hires New Vice President of Business and Merchant Development
Seattle (October 9, 2003) – GiftCertificates.com, a leading provider of gift certificate products and services to corporations and consumers, today announced that Kathy Gersch has joined the company at its Seattle headquarters as vice president of business and merchant development. Gersch will be responsible for the creation of new business opportunities and merchant partnerships for GiftCertificates.com.
For the GiftCertificates.com merchant business, Gersch will be responsible for adding new merchant partners, managing existing relationships, and leveraging these relationships for the benefit of its millions of customers.
Additionally, Gersch will develop and execute strategic plans for new business opportunities that will look to grow the company’s core distribution channels, create new revenue streams and expand geographic reach of its product and services.

Gersch joins GiftCertificates.com after independently consulting with domestic and international companies in strategy, business planning and financial development. She previously served as the vice president of finance, strategic planning and administration at Nordstrom, Inc. Prior to Nordstrom, she held the role as director - international market analyst and planner for Milliken & Company.
Gersch has more than 10 years of business development, global consulting and strategic planning experience in the retail and resource management industries in North America, South America, Australia, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
