GO Software Releases Upgraded RiTA Server
New version empowers merchants with more choices, speed
and cost savings
SAVANNAH, Ga., Oct. 13, 2003-GO Software, a subsidiary of Return On Investment Corporation (OTCBB: ROIE) and a provider of POS (point-of-sale) payment processing software to more than 85,000 businesses, has released version 2.1 of its RiTA (Rapid Transaction Authority) Server, a highly scalable transaction switch that supports high volume, multi-threaded transaction processing.
RiTA is a cost effective product that can be easily integrated into any POS, e-Commerce or MOTO (mail order/telephone order) application, regardless of the operating system or development platform. RiTA 2.1 offers additional features that further enhance transaction processing speed, reliability, security and cost savings for the merchant.
These enhancements include:
• First Data North Cardnet Internet Protocol Network (IPN) certification
• Paymentech Salem Batch Management
• Identification of duplicate transactions
• Vital certification, and
• Certegy certification
"GO Software`s reputation and stability enabled Wireless Web to rapidly introduce our latest product, eCharge, backed with creditability," said Jeff Condon, president of Wireless Web, Inc. "We wanted a company that was a leader in this industry and would get us out into the market quickly and cost effectively."
RiTA 2.1 is now certified to process transactions via First Data`s IPN, a managed network that lets merchants process transactions quickly, reliably and safely using their existing Internet connection. The speed of transaction processing by this method allows merchants to serve more customers in less time, and, as a result, increase customer satisfaction with shorter wait times in the checkout line.
The Paymentech Salem Batch Management enhancement allows merchants to better manage payment batches (authorized transactions compiled throughout the day) by customizing their batch size and settlement to their business model and environment. This enables merchants to further customize POS systems without the expense of custom coding.
Enhanced duplicate transaction handling in RiTA 2.1 saves merchants time by quickly identifying duplicate transactions and helping to eliminate customer entry errors in eCommerce environments.
"RiTA Server has a proven track record in providing middleware that ensures fast, quality transactions without adding unnecessary costs," said Tony Abruzzio, executive vice president and general manager for GO Software, Inc. "The enhancements to RiTA 2.1 do just that by enabling merchants to increase existing transaction processes and decrease bottom line expenses."
In addition to saving time and money, the Vital certification supports card verification codes and increases fraud protection for card-not-present merchants, and the Certegy certification offers merchants more options for check processing.
"We would still be going through the certification process and not selling eCharge if we had not chosen GO Software," added Condon.
