Jewelry.com launches, featuring products from offline and online retailers

Online jewelry mall Jewelry.com, which features merchandise from Zales Jewelers, Service Merchandise, Sears, J.C. Penney, Macy's, and Kay Jewelers, launched today. The site is not a shopping site itself, but rather presents information to consumers who then go to a jeweler’s site or store to make the purchase.

The site will offer information and education about jewelry and allow side-by-side comparison of products. It launches with an ad campaign in Sports Illustrated and a sweepstakes.

"The information and education consumers receive through Jewelry.com as well as the editorial content were key factors that convinced us to partner with Jewelry.com," says Mary Forte, Zales executive vice president and chief merchandising officer. "An educated customer makes smart, confident purchases, and is more inclined to ask the right questions at the counter,"

Jewelry.com is a division of jewelry manufacturer Andin International Inc.
