Blast Radius makes Web count for Nike Timing
VANCOUVER, B.C. -- March 26, 2003 -- Nike Timing, a division of Nike focusing on its line of watches and workout monitoring devices, has partnered with Blast Radius to launch its new online product support site at www.nike.com/timing.
By helping people find the best product to meet their needs, delivering training tools like rich media tutorials and informational videos, and developing superior after sales service, Nike Timing`s goal is to ensure that people have a successful experience with their watch.
"Blast Radius has helped us to reduce the anxiety that athletes often associate with technology-oriented training tools; the site will really help people get the most from their Nike watch, heart rate or speed and distance monitor," says Ted Helprin, global marketing manager of Nike Timing.
Over 60 products are organized on the site in five main categories: monitoring, running, outdoor, presto and kids. Site content is available in six languages (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish) in order to support customers in Nike`s key regional markets.
Site features include product imagery, product comparison charts, rich media tutorials, user manuals, accessible product support, regularly updated FAQs, and print-friendly product detail pages. The site also offers e-commerce integration with Niketown.com.
"Based on our positive experience working with the Blast Radius team to develop the Nike Techlab site in 2000, and the Portable Sport Audio site in 2002, they were the natural choice for this project," said Helprin.
"Nike Timing is a wonderfully creative division of Nike to work with," said Jenny Winterbottom, director of client strategy at Blast Radius working on Nike.com projects. "After working with various Nike divisions over the past five years, Blast Radius is pleased to have had this latest opportunity to create the digital representation of Nike Timing."
In 1997, Nike launched its first line of watches designed and built to the exact specification of the world`s leading athletes*. Since then, the Nike Timing line has expanded to include a range of products that combine in-house design and development with innovative technologies and materials for athletes and active people everywhere.
