Apparel retailers deliver faster high broadband access in June
Apparel/accessories retailers gave online customers with high broadband connections the fastest access time in June, says Gomez Inc.
Gomez notes that online shoppers with a high broadband connection could visit a Top 50 apparel site in about 5.22 seconds compared with specialty retailers (5.37 seconds), computers/electronics (5.94 seconds) and mass merchants (6.12 seconds).
When their sites are accessed via low broadband connections, apparel/accessories retailers again delivered the fastest average access time, this time 14.32 seconds, Gomez says. The next fastest web retailing category in low broadband access was specialty (14.38 seconds), followed by computers/electronics retailers (16.38 seconds) and mass merchants (17.13 seconds).
In June Top 50 specialty sites provided the fastest dial-up access: 54.36 seconds.
