Spiegel names new head of fulfillment and EC services
The Spiegel Group has named Rich Lauer vice president of operations, responsible for Distribution Fulfillment Services Inc., Spiegel Group Teleservices and Spiegel-Hermes General Service LLC. Lauer also will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer of Distribution Fulfillment Services. Lauer replaces David Boothby who resigned from the company.
A wholly owned subsidiary of The Spiegel Group, Distribution Fulfillment Services serves the catalog and e-commerce fulfillment and distribution, as well as retail distribution needs for Spiegel, Eddie Bauer and other Spiegel Group operations. Spiegel Group Teleservices is the group`s network of call centers. Spiegel-Hermes is the company`s joint venture that provides a comprehensive range of third-party global logistics services.
