The Spiegel Group has named Rich Lauer vice president of operations, responsible for Distribution Fulfillment Services Inc., Spiegel Group Teleservices and Spiegel-Hermes General Service LLC. Lauer also will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer of Distribution Fulfillment Services. Lauer replaces David Boothby who resigned from the company.
A wholly owned subsidiary of The Spiegel Group, Distribution Fulfillment Services serves the catalog and e-commerce fulfillment and distribution, as well as retail distribution needs for Spiegel, Eddie Bauer and other Spiegel Group operations. Spiegel Group Teleservices is the group's network of call centers. Spiegel-Hermes is the company's joint venture that provides a comprehensive range of third-party global logistics services.
