Q3 online merchandise sales at TheKnot.com rise 20% year-over-year


Online merchandise sales at The Knot Inc.’s TheKnot.com, a wedding products and services site, totaled $4.9 million for the quarter ended June 30, up 20% from $4.1 million in the year-earlier period, the company said. Total revenue increased 30% year-over-year to $17.7 million for the quarter from $13.6 million.

In addition to online merchandise sales, total Q2 revenue included $8.4 million from sponsorships and advertising, up 38% from $6.1 million a year ago, and $4.5 million from publishing and other revenue, up 32% from $3.4 million.

For the six months ended June 30, online merchandise sales rose 7% to $8 million from $7.5 million a year earlier, online sponsorships and ads rose 37% to $16.2 million, and publishing rose 34% to $8.3 million.
