Teddy Chung, a former executive at office supplies manufacturer Avery Dennison, has joined Office Depot Inc. as senior vice president and managing director for Asia, the retailer said.
Chung’s responsibilities will include managing Office Depot’s retail, delivery and e-commerce operations in Japan and overseeing the retailer’s recent acquisition of Best Office Co. in South Korea.
"Teddy's leadership skills combined with his track record in general management, product development, and sales, make him an excellent choice to direct our efforts in this very important geography," said Charles Brown, president of international operations for Office Depot. "I am confident that with Teddy running our Asian operations, we will successfully drive profitable growth, increase our brand recognition, and differentiate our Company in this emerging marketplace."
Chung most recently served as senior vice president of the Asia-Pacific market for Avery Dennison.
