Things Remembered gift store re-launches its web site

Things Remembered Inc., a chain that sells leading personalized gift items, has re-launched its web site. The site includes new navigation channels such as wedding, corporate and shop by brand, as well as shopping by recipient, sentiment and occasion. The company, owned by Cole National Corp., says the web site navigation is more in line with its store shopping experience. The site also added a gift advisor search tool, larger product photos and gift personalization options. Redesigning the web site is part of Things Remembered’s multi-channel strategy, the company says. Use of the new store locator on the site has doubled since the relaunch, the company says.

The retailer is using IBM’s WebSphere Commerce Suite to power the new thingsremembered.com

Things Remembered also has incorporated real-time inventory and is guaranteeing that products ordered from the site are in stock. It gives shoppers 50% discounts on comparable items if something ordered is out of stock. Online orders, including those with personalization, ship from the warehouse in North Jackson, OH, within 72 hours, the company says.
