Picture this: CVS introduces new components to processing service
CVS Corp., an early developer of programs that enable shoppers to upload film for processing over the Internet and pick up prints at nearby stores, is adding several new components to its online photo processing service.
CVS, No. 84 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites , now will process most orders sent via the Internet in about an hour.
The retailer also is enhancing its online photo processing service with other new features, including free online storage and sharing options, photo editing, and color correction. With a program CVS calls ExtraCare, customers also earn points with each photo purchase. “Customers should have the choice and tools they need to print pictures in a way that makes things easier,” says Grant Pill, CVS director of photography and imaging. “CVS gives consumers every option for storage, sharing, gifts, and delivery or in-store pick-up."
Film processing with the one-hour in-store pick-up option is now available at more than 4,600 CVS stores nationwide, the retailer says.
