Start-up same-day delivery service Ensenda lands its first customer
Ensenda Inc., a start-up delivery service that promises to deliver merchandise to consumers within 60 minutes of placing an order, has its first customer outside of a Silicon Valley test merchant. LaserNetworks, a Canadian provider of printers and toners, will use Ensenda’s services to deliver toner to customers in Canada.
Ensenda promises immediate delivery through its network of local independent courier services. When Ensenda receives an order, it transmits the order to the local courier service which dispatches a messenger to pick up the merchandise and deliver it to the customer. In Canada, Ensenda has relationships with more than 1,100 couriers covering 20 markets in 9 provinces.
Courier services will pick toners from local inventories maintained by LaserNetworks.
"LaserNetworks wants to work with companies that value customer service as much as we do, so Ensenda is a perfect match," said Graham Wood, co-founder and vice president of operations for LaserNetworks. "Fast and efficient delivery is a mission critical service to our business customers, and Ensenda`s easy integration into our call center technology enabled us to launch the service in a matter of days.
