Office Depot names new CIO to oversee web initiatives
Office Depot Inc. has named Patricia B. Morrison as executive vice president and CIO. Among her responsibilities will be oversight of Office Depot’s global e-commerce operation. She was previously vice president and CIO of Quaker Oats Co. Before that she was CIO of General Electric Co.’s $6 billion subsidiary, GE Industrial Systems.
Office Depot operates 15 web sites in the U.S., Austria, Australia, France, Japan, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom and 846 office supply superstores in the U.S. and Canada, as well as stores and distribution centers in 15 other countries.
