QVC domestic e-commerce revenue climbs 22%
TV and web retailer QVC Inc. grew its domestic e-commerce sales 22.5% in the second quarter while total domestic sales grew 10%.
For the second quarter, QVC, No. 14 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites , reported U.S. web sales of $228 million compared with $186.1 million in Q2 2005. Total Q2 2006 domestic sales were $1.14 billion vs. $1.034 billion in the same quarter last year.
E-commerce represented 20% of QVC’s domestic sales in Q2 compared with 18% the previous year. Also in the second quarter QVC parent Liberty Media Corp. acquired BuySeasons Inc., No. 204 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites .
