Arden Companies And DASCO Pro Choose Transora`s Data Synchronization Solution To Publish Data To Hardlines Retailers Such As Lowes, Home Depot, Ace And Wal-Mart
Transora One of First to Offer Data Synchronization Capability for UCCnet 2.2 Hardlines Schema
CHICAGO, November 24, 2003 - Judith Sprieser, CEO of Transora today announced that DASCO Pro, a manufacturer of metalworking and masonry tools, and Arden Companies, a leading supplier of outdoor and household consumer products are among the first to take advantage of Transora`s extended functionality for UCCnet 2.2 Hardlines schema required for data synchronization. Both manufacturers will utilize the Transora Data Synchronization Network to load item data into the UCCnet Global Registry and to publish directly to the worklists of selected Hardlines retailers requesting synchronized data such as Lowe`s, Home Depot, Ace and Wal-Mart.
Transora One of First to Test Functionality with UCCnet
In accordance with the newly released EAN.UCC standards and UCCnet Hardlines extension, Transora can publish extended Item information in accordance with newly released EAN.UCC standards including Hardlines extensions. This functionality enables manufacturers and retailers in the Hardlines industry to engage in data synchronization according to industry-defined standards. DASCO Pro and Arden Companies are the first Transora customers to take advantage of this added capability.
Industry Expertise and Flexible Options to Load Data Critical in Decision Making Process
When making their selection, DASCO Pro and Arden Companies chose Transora for two key reasons. The first was Transora`s flexible and scalable options to upload data to the Transora Data Synchronization Network. For companies that need to synchronize data quickly, Transora`s proprietary Excel spreadsheet load option is an ideal choice. This flexibility coupled with Transora`s proven industry expertise, data synchronization knowledge and involvement in data synchronization at the highest levels ensure customers can quickly populate the spreadsheet with required data and send it to Transora. Transora then manages all aspects of the data synchronization process including the registration of items with the Global Registry and choreography of message flow with retail trading partners.
"Two of the key factors when selecting Transora were their reputation and knowledge as well as the flexible, scalable options they have to get up and running with data synchronization," said Sandy Tietjen, MIS Director of DASCO Pro.
"More and more retail customers are requesting synchronized data and we are secure in the knowledge that we have chosen the industry leaders to provide proper guidance while leveraging our investment to connect to as many retailers as necessary - without having to worry about the intricacies of the process such as maintaining compliance with UCCnet."
"Retailers in the Hardlines industry are aggressively pursuing data synchronization with their suppliers and it is just a matter of time before other vertical industries follow," said Ken Fleming, President and COO of Transora. "We are excited to be working with these Hardlines manufacturers to provide scalable, flexible options to ensure our customers can respond quickly but cost-effectively to requests for synchronized data and look forward to extending this functionality to manufacturers in other vertical industries that will soon be faced with similar challenges."
