Fairfield, New Jersey (September 7, 2001) - Vertex
Interactive, Inc., a leading provider of supply chain execution and order
fulfillment technologies, (NASDAQ:VETX), has released Stradivari Web, its
browser-based warehouse management system (WMS). Stradivari Web’s
functional and technological benefits target medium to large distribution
centers, including complex multi-facility installations.
Stradivari Web allows users to access up-to-the-minute critical warehouse
and inventory information via a browser, whether they are within the four
walls of the distribution center or not. Designed as a “Plug and Play”
system, Stradivari Web incorporates sophisticated functionality and can be
easily deployed across additional facilities. Users need only a browser
workstation and RF terminals in an RF-directed environment for real-time
data exchange to experience the true benefits of Stradivari Web. Unlike
other, more traditional WMS applications, Stradivari Web is a Web-based
system, which requires no software to be loaded on the workstation further
enhancing cost savings and ROI.
Stradivari Web can be easily modified to meet specific business requirements
and offers robust functionality including: highly configurable warehouses,
automated putaway based upon user-defined parameters, pallet tracking and
building, QA management, cross-docking capabilities, radio frequency,
automated cycle counting, lot/batch and serial number traceability, full
transaction audit trails, kitting, forward pick and replenishment, and
inquiries and reports.
Stradivari Web completes the line of WMS software products that Vertex has
strategically designed to address all three tiers of the WMS market.
Stradivari Web is designed principally for Tier 2 customers, complementing
Vertex’s Tier 1 WMS system, RenSoftWMS and Tier 3 WMS, Stradivari. Stadivari
Web has proven successful for Bodek and Rhodes, an imprinter/ distributor of
corporate and casual activewear, whose customers often require same day
order turnaround at its Philadelphia and Michigan facilities. Immediate
benefits realized by Bodek and Rhodes include sub-level response time for
all RF functionality, less than 5% return rate on customer orders, and a 30%
increase in productivity.
