Circuit City shakes up its e-commerce leadership

Brian S. Bradley has been named senior vice president, multi-channel at consumer electronics retailer Circuit City Stores Inc., with responsibility for the company`s direct-to-consumer business, including its web site and call center. The company has also announced the departure of George D. "Danny" Clark, who had been executive vice president, multi-channel sales.

Bradley joined the company in January 2005 with the title of steward of innovation. In April 2006, he was promoted to vice president, strategy and innovation. Before joining Circuit City he worked at Capital One Financial Corp. and before that at consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he worked with multi-channel businesses.

In other management changes, Circuit City named John T. Harlow executive vice president and chief operation officer. Harlow will oversee the company`s retail stores, real estate, information technology and supply chain. He most recently was a retail director at Deloitte Consulting LLP where he worked with Circuit City.

The company has also named John J. Kelly, senior vice president, merchandising. Kelly joined the company in May 2005 as senior vice president, general merchandise manager. He previously had worked at QVC.com, Sharp Electronics Corp. and Macy`s.

"The changes we are making today bring proven turnaround experience to the retail team and enable us to continue to move forward with our turnaround of the core business and accelerate our growth initiatives," said Philip J. Schoonover, chairman, president and CEO, in announcing the changes last week.
