CATAVAULT OPENS EUROPEAN OFFICE, NAMES MANAGING DIRECTOR
PHILADELPHIA, PA and LONDON – September 19, 2001 – CATAVAULT, a leader in the online identity and authentication sector, today announced the creation of a European business development office and named Yack Media Services co-founder Sean Malatesta as Managing Director.
Malatesta, who conceived the Yack concept, and was instrumental in developing the service into the world’s most comprehensive Internet Program Guide, will be based in London and be responsible for generating partnerships that will help European service providers maximize the potential of CATAVAULT’s online identity and authentication service.

As vice president, international business development for Yack, Malatesta focused on expanding the company’s reach around the world, and assisted with its domestic content acquisition and distribution deals. Prior to founding Yack, Malatesta served as an agent trainee in the mailroom of the motion picture and corporate sponsorship divisions of the William Morris Agency`s New York offices.
Malatesta has also worked for Hall, Dickler, Kent, Friedman & Wood, LLP, an entertainment law firm, and Forte Management, Inc., a business management company servicing the fashion world. While at Forte Management, Malatesta managed high profile models and photographers. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the New York Law School, where he studied entertainment and media law.
