Former Federated exec Stanley Payson joins Benchmark Brands as VP of IT

Stanley Payson, a former director of IT for Active Hours Formalwear, a division of Federated Department Stores Inc., has joined Benchmark Brands as vice president of IT, Benchmark reports.

Payson, who has also worked in management at The Home Depot, will head Benchmark’s technology operations and manage the planning of corporate technology requirements for business intelligence applications, call centers, corporate telecommunications, systems development and e-commerce applications development.

Benchmark, No. 216 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, operates two retail web sites, FootSmart.com and WalkSmart.com, as well as catalogs for the same brands.

Benchmark has also appointed Neil Cohen, a former executive of Treadways Corp. and specialty retailer Mothers Work Inc., as its vice president of human resources.
