Dell veteran appointed vice president of marketing at REI

Recreational Equipment Inc. has appointed Tom Vogl, a former marketing executive at Dell Inc., as vice president of marketing, including visual merchandising, direct mail and advertising.

Vogl, who had been with Dell for eight yeares, most recently served as marketing director of Dell’s Asia-Pacific/Japan region. Earlier positions at Dell included marketing director of the U.S. Consumer Group.

Prior to Dell, Vogl worked in several retail, strategy and marketing roles at Conoco-Phillips.
