Ensenda Inc., the same-day delivery service, has landed a pilot deal with The Right Start Inc., national retailer of educational toys. The Right Start operates The Right Start stores and Zany Brainy stores and recently agreed to buy FAO Schwartz. It also operates the Right Start catalog and web site. The Right Start will test Ensenda’s delivery service at seven stores in California, Connecticut and Illinois. Ensenda will deliver orders that customers place in the stores, phone in to the stores or phone in to the Right Start call center.
If the test is successful, the agreement will expand to include all of The Right Start stores in 18 states, as well as Zany Brainy stores across the country.
Ensenda promises delivery within 60 minutes. Its delivery network is built on agreements with local courier agencies rather on operating its own delivery network, as some failed same-day delivery services have done.
Other Ensenda customers in the US and Canada include Kepler's Books, FastSigns and Laser Networks.
"The Right Start is a fast-growing business, focused on quality products and excellent service," stated Rich Pollock, SVP of Logistics for The Right Start. "We strive to do everything we can to provide an exceptional shopping experience, and our partnership with Ensenda adds an additional and unique convenience for our customer."
