One of the barriers to consumers doing online shopping is fear of not receiving their purchases in time for Christmas. Kmart Corp.’s BlueLight.com is trying to allay those fears by guaranteeing delivery for Christmas from now until Dec. 21.
Starting today and extending through noon next Friday, BlueLight.com is promising delivery by Christmas on in-stock items—and backing the promise with a $100 reward and refund of the purchase price if the purchase doesn’t arrive on time.
Products included in the guarantee are labeled on the site “Guaranteed Holiday Delivery.”
For products ordered from Dec. 15 through Dec. 19, BlueLight will guarantee delivery by or on Christmas to shoppers who select the third-day shipping option. For products ordered Dec. 20 or by noon (eastern time) Dec. 21, shoppers must select the overnight shipping option.
