Erdos named president of Bluefly, COO Barry to resign
Bluefly Inc. has named Barry Erdos president, chief operating officer and acting CFO. Erdos has been a director on the Bluefly board since February 2005 and joins Bluefly, an online retailer of designer fashion, overseeing its operations and finances.
Erdos previously served as president and chief operating officer at Build-a-Bear Workshop Inc., No. 411 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Prior to that he was the chief operating officer and a director at Ann Taylor Stores Corp., No. 115 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, a woman’s apparel retailer where he previously served as the company’s executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.
“Barry is the consummate retail executive with an incredible track record,” says Melissa Payner, CEO of Bluefly, No. 131 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. “I am looking forward to partnering with him on the continuing evolution of the Bluefly brand.”
Bluefly also announced that Patrick Barry will resign as an executive officer of the company and as its chief operating officer and CFO. Barry has been with Bluefly since July 1998 and he will remain at the company through a transition period.
