New Strategic and Technology Business Alliances Targeted
To Broaden Value of Pindarıs Catalog Commerce Solution
CHICAGO, USA, and YORK, UK, Sept. 21, 2001 Pindar Systems, the global
leader in catalog commerce technology, today unveiled its Pindar Partner
program, a new structured approach to expanding its sales, consulting and
technology business alliances. The aim is to provide Pindar Systemsı
customers with a complete range of catalog commerce technology products and
services to help them reduce production costs and increase sales and market
share.
"Pindar Systems already has developed collaborative relationships with many
of the top providers of technology and services in e-commerce, electronic
publishing and database management," said Kurt W. Dressel, Pindar Systems
chief marketing officer. "We now intend to expand and deepen our alliances
to provide an unmatched array of resources for our customers the first
true enterprise-class catalog commerce solution."
Pindar Systems has coined the term "catalog commerce" to define the
multi-disciplinary approach necessary to manage and deliver product
information across multiple channels to drive sales. The complexity of
synching product knowledge infrastructure with business enterprise,
marketing, merchandising and commerce systems is the strength of Pindar
Systems technology and the driving force behind its partnership push.
To celebrate the launch of the Pindar Partner program and to recognize the
value of competitive drive and teamwork, Pindar Systems is sponsoring a
60-foot trimaran in one of the worldıs most prestigious ocean sail racing
events, the TransAt Jacques Vabre 2001. Several of Pindar Systems European
resellers are sub-sponsors of the boat including AXPA (Sweden), AlfaPrint
(Belgium), Davis Graphics (Chile), Done!ware (Germany), e+partner (France,
subsidiary of Aubin ), and Gartenmann Software AG (Switzerland). The Pindar
Systems entry will sail from Le Havre, France, Nov. 4, with 37 other boats
on a grueling 5,000-mile route across the Atlantic to Bahia, Brazil.
The Pindar Partner program is targeting companies in two broad categories.
The first, Consulting, Sales and Implementation (CSI), includes companies
offering consulting, sales, integration and support services that will
enhance the ability of Pindar Systems customers to deploy, integrate and use
Pindar Systemsı products. The second, Technology (TECHS), includes those
offering technology products and services that complement and integrate with
Pindar Systems` catalog commerce technology platform.
Partnerships will be offered at several levels depending on the degree of
commitment to and investment in Pindar Systems-specific products and
practices, internal staff resources and joint development.
Companies joining the Pindar Partner program will benefit from Pindar
Systems training, certification and technical support; Pindar staff and
business development resources; and joint marketing, advertising and
publicity opportunities.
Pindar Systems customers, in addition to the complementary products and
services they are offered, will benefit from the Pindar-specific solutions
and customization, training and tight technology/services integration that
the Pindar Partner program is structured to produce.
"The Pindar Partner program is truly a win-win-win proposition for Pindar
Systems, our partners and, most of all, our customers," Dressel said.
About Pindar Systems
Pindar Systems is defining catalog commerce, the ability to manage and
deliver product information to drive sales. The companyıs robust product
information management technology enables B2B and B2C businesses to focus on
effective marketing rather than the mechanics of the process. This allows
its customers to aggregate product and business data from many different
sources into an information-rich database. Pindar Systems` software presents
a unified view of this information, giving merchandisers the ability to
create targeted offers that are delivered with significantly greater
flexibility, precision and speed across multiple channels.
Pindar Systems is the recognized leader in catalog commerce. Clients include
W.W. Grainger, Office Depot, Spiegel and Eddie Bauer. Privately held, Pindar
Systems operates globally from European headquarters in York, UK, and North
American headquarters in Chicago, USA.
