New Functionality Enables Vendors to Effectively Cross-Sell through Resellers
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., September 25, 2001 – Collabridge Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of Demand Chain Optimization technology, announced the deployment of its Demand Chain Optimization Platform for the Direct Response Channel group within IBM’s Personal Computing Division. The Channel Bridge™ System enables IBM to control the merchandising of its high-margin PC accessories and upgrades, OPTIONS by IBM, on reseller e-commerce sites, resulting in higher accessory sales. "I’ve been looking for ways to increase accessories sales. Collabridge provided me with a first-rate solution," said Steven Leavitt, IBM’s National Options Manager. "Working with Collabridge, I can directly reach buyers with the IBM accessories story while they are shopping for IBM systems through my reseller partners. That sells my products.
The Channel Bridge system is an e-business integration hub that links vendors with multiple Demand Chain partners such as resellers and distributors. With the Channel Bridge system, IBM and other vendors can use their existing e-business systems to deliver SKU-level sales and marketing messages and CRM functionality directly to buyers purchasing systems through their channel partners. This allows them to sell more effectively through their partners, who generate a large portion of sales.
