eBay® QUALIFIES AUCTIONWORKS AS A PREFERRED SOLUTION PROVIDER

Customers Can Gain Faster Access to eBay’s Resources Directly Through Auctionworks Platform

September 24, 2001 (ATLANTA)--- Atlanta-based Auctionworks™, the leading provider of online marketplace sales management services and eBayÒ (NASDAQ: EBAY), The World’s Online Marketplace™, announced today a strategic agreement in which Auctionworks will become an eBay Preferred Solution Provider (PSP). As part of the agreement, Auctionsworks is now enrolled in eBay’s Application Program Interface and Developer’s Program (API).

eBay’s PSP Program members provide systems and sales support to high volume retailers, manufacturers, and liquidators, ultimately helping them sell inventory on eBay’s marketplace of over 35 million registered users.

“We are excited to be selected as an eBay Preferred Solution Provider,” said Paul Lundy, chief marketing officer of Auctionworks. “This strengthened relationship with eBay will enable high volume sellers using the Auctionworks platform to more efficiently sell inventory across the entire eBay site.”

Auctionworks has attracted an elite group of the power sellers currently selling on eBay. Additionally, a growing list of larger retailers has begun using the Auctionworks solution to access the eBay marketplace. In August alone, Auctionworks customers sold more than $6 million of inventory on eBay.

“Auctionworks has demonstrated great success with corporate customers and has impressed us with the high volume of items listed on the site," said Jeffrey Housenbold, vice president of eBay`s B2C Group. “Through our PSP program, we will work together to enable large retailers to more easily use eBay as an additional sales channel.”

As online marketplaces continue to evolve, specifically in the online retailing category, high-volume retailers, manufacturers and liquidators are searching for more efficient methods to sell online merchandise on e-Commerce sites such as eBay.

“The Auctionworks/eBay relationship is a powerful combination,” said Peter Tahmin, vice president and chief operating officer of Ritz Interactive, Inc., an Auctionworks customer. “RitzCamera.com is selling everything we launch to eBay using Auctionworks and we’re now integrating with their APIs to make launching to eBay virtually seamless.”

As part of eBay’s Application Program Interface and Developer’s Program (API), Auctionworks will be able to provide its customers with more direct, reliable and secure access into eBay’s trading site. Launched in November 2000, eBay’s API provides the knowledge and tools developers need to create applications based on eBay technology
